Poetry for Neanderthals. Game is Fun. We Play Now. No Need Rules.

I have to admit something - I’ve never actually played this game using the full official rules.

Not because I don’t love it - it’s one of the funniest games in our house! 

But EVERY time we get it out, someone grabs a card before we even start and tries to explain it using “Neanderthal” rules… and it’s so funny that we just keep going… taking turns with the cards - and of course, hitting each other with the “No!” stick.

This can easily go on for an hour before we realise we never actually set the game up. 

We even took it on holidays recently - sitting outside our caravan wearing glow sticks and glow glasses (because why not?) 

I can only imagine what the people in the nearby caravans thought… us all sitting around in glow gear, speaking like “Neanderthals”, laughing the whole time…

I’m sure it definitely looked like there was wine involved. (No wine required… although I’m sure that would add a whole new level to the game!)

If you haven’t played it - the idea is very simple: 
You have to describe the word on the card… but you can only use one-syllable words.

Use a big word? 
You get hit with the inflatable “NO!” stick.

It’s a great game.

We’ll try the official rules one day…

But for now - 

“Game is fun. We play now. No need rules.”
