Gnomes at Night. A Cooperative Kids Game Where Gnomes Move as if by Magic!

I’ve been waiting for this game to arrive! And finally… it’s here! 

It’s got everything… a fun game.. a maze… teaching kids life skills through play… gnomes that move as if by magic…

It’s the most “Brain Spice” thing I’ve ever seen!

Gnomes at Night is a cooperative game for kids… and the kids will LOVE it!

To play, you work together to make your way through a maze, trying to reach as many treasures as possible. The more treasures you reach before the timer runs out, the higher your score at the end. 

The twist though, is that the board is double-sided, and each player can only see ONE side of the maze.

…and here’s the other thing… the mazes don’t match.

So you’re trying to explain what you can see, while the other player explains what THEY can see, and together you’re trying to work out how to get through the maze to the treasure.

Since there’s a timer, you have to communicate and make decisions quickly - although you can always not use the timer for younger kids, or for kids who find the timer too much pressure.

It’s easy to learn, very quick to set up, plays in about 15 minutes… and it has magically moving gnomes.

Definitely one I’d recommend for families with kids.

✨ So, how do you play Gnomes At Night?

During the game, you’re picking cards from the deck - flipping one at a time. You have to move your gnomes through the maze to get to the treasure pictured on the cards. The more treasures you find, the higher your end score. 

Because the cards are picked up in a different order every game, there’s huge replayability. The path you travel through the maze changes every time because you’re always starting from different points.

The board is double-sided, and each player can only see ONE side of the maze.

…The only thing is… the mazes don’t match.

So you’re trying to explain what you can see, and the other person has to explain what THEY can see, and together you’re trying to work out how to get through the maze to the treasure.

This makes the natural communication practice in this game AMAZING.

As you can see in the video, there are blocked paths everywhere - so sometimes you get stuck and need the other player to move instead. When they move, it lets you pass through walls and continue your path. It’s a cooperative challenge, so you need to work together. 

The “magic” part is that when you move your gnome on your side, the other player’s gnome moves too! Watch the video - it’s so cool! 

(For those wondering - the gnomes are magnetic).

It’s so much fun. And it’s completely different to so many other cooperative games.

There’s also 4 different maze boards with varying difficulty levels, so it works really well for younger kids right up to older kids and adults.
