Ghost in the Attic: A Brilliant First Cooperative Game… That Glows!
You know when you see something labelled glow-in-the-dark… and you assume that it means it’s going to be 10 minutes of you holding it up to the light, before then turning the light off and trying to convince yourself it’s now glowing?
…We’ve all done it.
Thankfully though, I’ve discovered that Ghost in the Attic is NOT that game 👻✨ We played this at home in the dark and the light-up ghost is incredible! It’s not glow-in-the-dark… it actually lights up!
But getting past my amazement at the glowing ghost… the game itself is wonderful too. It’s a co-operative game for ages 5 and up. Players work together to move around the board and escape the house (and the ghost!).
It’s a simple spin-the-spinner and move-the-players style game (with some fun snakes-and-ladders style twists!)… but instead of trying to beat each other, everyone works together to try and beat the game instead.
A full game only takes about 15 minutes.
It’s a brilliant first co-operative game for younger kids (and older kids who still like fun, simple games that glow).
It’s also a really great way to naturally teach planning and teamwork - all while just playing a game.
And as for the ghost… I promise you - the photos don’t even fully capture how amazing the glowing ghost looks in real life.
