Good for Entire Subject View:

Magnification:
The ELIKLIV LCD digital microscope achieves a maximum 30x optical magnification using the 7" built-in screen. Greater optical magnification can be achieved with a larger computer monitor or HDMI screen. Features 16MP photo resolution, which brings excellent image quality. By zooming in using a photo viewing application, you can magnify to much finer digital detail.
Brain Spice says: Beware claims of 1200x magnification, sometimes more, with competing Digital Microscopes! These claims are always based on the "possible digital magnification" that the sellers "recognise" with a zoomed high resolution digital image. Which usually can only be done using image viewing software on a computer. The Microscope's actual achievable optical magnification is usually not even listed in their specifications. The digital microscope industry has taken to dishonesty and deception as their advertising norm!
We've chosen to sell these EDM9 Pro microscopes because they are well-made, high resolution microscopes, which can be easily connected to any PC or Mac, or a high resolution HDMI monitor. The magnification is excellent, and you can see and do a lot with these, but you won't see blood cells, sperm cells, microbes etc. with any digital microscope under $1000!
If you want to test the maximum optical magnification of any digital microscope, all you need is two rulers. Put one ruler under the microscope, and focus on the mm graduations at the highest magnification you can. Then use the other ruler to measure, in mm, the distance on the screen that is 1mm on the first ruler. That distance is equal to the optical magnification.
