Our levitating world globe is an eight-inch unique table lamp which can be used as a special gift, or as home or geography classroom decoration.

The maglev globe uses magnetic levitation technology. Unlike typical world globes, this one is suspended in the air without any support, creating an almost magical effect!  The globe will rotate gently, and can also glow with slowly changing colours.

The base is convincingly disguised as a hardcover book, which actually enhances the seemingly magical illusion.  The base is plugged into mains power via its own power adaptor.

The globe of the earth is the standard world map, with seven continents, four oceans, territories, and important cities of all countries in the world.

How to use it?

Operating levitating devices requires some patience and practice at first. If this is your first time using magnetic levitation products, you may need a few attempts before succeeding to balance the globe in the magnetic levitation field. However, once you succeed, it only gets easier!

STEP 1: Place the globe and base on a flat, non-metallic surface. Connect the AC Adapter to the power, and the other DC plug to the base.

STEP 2: With two cupped hands, hold the globe above the centre of the base and slowly lower the globe down towards the base. When you feel resistance, adjust the globe until you feel a gentle release. Keep the globe stable for a few seconds.

STEP 3: Once you feel that the globe is almost balanced in mid-air (not falling down or being pushed up), slowly let go until the globe begins to rotate by itself. If you don’t succeed, lift the globe up, and try again.  If still unsuccessful after multiple tries, turn off the base and let it cool before trying again.
