Flamecraft Duals. A Wonderful Game for Couples and Solo Play.
We tried this wonderful game for the first time a few weeks ago… and it’s been our go-to game ever since!
We’ve played competitively, solo, and cooperatively, and have loved each gameplay equally, but each one for different reasons.
If you’re looking for an interesting solo or couples game with beautiful components and interesting strategic decisions without the overwhelming gameplay, I definitely recommend picking up a copy of Flamecraft Duals.
How to Play Flamecraft Duals:
Each player starts with a hand of shop cards showing the dragon patterns they’ll need to create.
Throughout the game, dragon tokens are drawn from the bag and placed on the board. Where you place them matters, as you’ll be trying to create the patterns shown on your shop cards to score points.
On your turn:
👉 Draw a dragon token and place it on the board.
👉 Use that dragon’s special ability (if you wish). Some dragons let you move tokens around the board or place extra dragons, helping you complete your patterns.
👉 Complete any shop cards you’ve matched and replace them with new ones.
As the board fills up, it becomes more and more challenging to create the patterns you need!
Once all the dragon tokens have been placed, the player with the most points wins.
There’s also a more challenging mode, and a solo mode (all included) and all modes play brilliantly.
